How to Prepare Your Home for a Blue Dot Photos Photoshoot

Introduction

At Blue Dot Photos, we know that first impressions matter—especially when it comes to selling your home. Before your photographer arrives, taking the time to clean, declutter, and stage your space will ensure your home shines. Great photos start with great preparation!

What to Expect on the Day of the Photoshoot

  • A professional Blue Dot Photographer will arrive at your scheduled time to capture high-quality images of your home.
  • The session typically lasts 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of your property. If a 3D Capture is also included in your order, please expect another 30 minutes as part of the visit. Read more about 3D Captures here.
  • Rooms should be unoccupied during the shoot to prevent motion blur and distractions.
  • Pets should be secured in a safe area and kept out of the way.
  • Our photographer may ask to adjust lighting, blinds, and furniture slightly to enhance the shots.
  • Please be sure to have the property ready to photograph when the photographer arrives to maximize their time onsite. The time allotted onsite allows an intro and walk through of the property and time to photograph your home. Unfortunately, they are not trained stagers or cleaners and do not have time allocated to assist with those processes. If you need more time, we can always reschedule for a small fee.

General Interior Preparation

Any preparation you can do ahead of the shoot will help our photographer be as efficient as possible at your home. We appreciate your cooperation!
